Maggie Davies’ vibrant and richly textured paintings explore the full possibilities of colour and form. Her landscapes range from atmospheric images of rural Wales, its beaches, skies and hills, to her exotic Venetian series developed from sketches on site.

Using pastel, ink and vivid acrylics, her paintings vary from intricately detailed studies to near abstract images. She is well-known for her bold and inventive nude studies, using a pastel technique which reflects her passion for the figurative work of Edgar Degas.
